Today Matt and Dan fly to Montreal to continue filming MAiD in Canada, our new series about medically assisted dying.
They’ll interview the veteran who famously disclosed that she was offered medically assisted dying by a Veteran Affair’s caseworker rather than the wheelchair ramp she needed. That anecdote, which hit the news across Canada, is just the tip of the iceberg that is her story.
As we gather more content, we want to give you an exclusive first look at a few minutes from our forthcoming episode. These sound-bytes represent just a few of the individuals we’ve connected with across the country.
Somebody’s standing on the ledge, what do we do? Do we push or do we pull? These are opposite things and our society believes in both.
~ Blaise Alleyne, Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform
As we continue to seek the truth and learn about the issue, what we’re discovering compels us to ask even more questions. People across the country need to see what MAiD is like, what it’s becoming, and the impact it has on families and communities.
That’s why we plan to release the series for FREE so as many people as possible can see it.
If it’s on your heart to support the project, you can give here. Any amount helps. We’re so grateful to everyone who has given toward the project already.
Together,
~ Matthew, Andrew and Daniel Kooman
