About the Kooman Brothers’ new film
Directed by Matthew and Daniel Kooman, Daniel: The Fiery Furnace, stars Mena Massoud as Daniel and Elijah Alexander as King Nebuchadnezzar. The film faithfully adapts the classic Old Testament origin story from the Book of Daniel. Its narrative follows the prophet as he rises to a position of power in the Babylonian Empire.
Tensions rise when a ruthless king commands everyone to bow down and worship a massive golden statue. When three faithful men—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—refuse to betray their beliefs, they are cast into a blazing inferno, choosing the fire over abandoning their faith.
